Content Breakdown

Based on recent testing coverage, the USTET tests you heavily on the following subjects:

Logical Reasoning

This section tests your ability to spot patterns and think critically:

• Abstract reasoning and finding patterns
• Syllogisms
• Forming figures and missing components

Language Proficiency

A deep dive into English mechanics and comprehension:

• Communication processes and models
• Identifying errors, synonyms, antonyms, and analogy
• Figures of speech and fallacy
• Reading comprehension and academic/research papers

Science

The science portion is highly detailed and heavily academic:

• Biology: Photosynthesis, cellular respiration, meiosis/mitosis, plant/animal cells, taxonomy, anatomy, and genetics.
• Chemistry: Stoichiometry, gas laws, electron configuration, elements, acids/bases, and ionic/covalent bonds.
